Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. In a one-quart baking dish or 9 inch square pan, cream together sugar and butter. Mix in flour and milk until smooth. Pour peaches and their juice over the top.
3. Bake 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, until golden brown.

From here.

*****

What I added were, 1 tsp nutmeg powder & 1 tsp cinnamon powder.

And for the batter, I first spread butter onto the baking dish, spooned the peaches into the dish, poured half of the syrup in, and finally poured the batter. Discarded the rest of the syrup.

Sprinkled on some dessicated coconut for effect, before baking.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

The next thing I made yesterday was the Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies. They were chewy, yes. They were big, yes. But they weren't the best chocolate chips cookies I've ever had. I prefer something crunchier. I fell in love with the pics on the recipe page, and I was curious how a CHEWY choc chip cookies would taste like. Well now I've tasted it. I prefer small, crunchy, no cocoa, choc chip cookies. I don't like double choc chip cookies.

INGREDIENTS

* 2 cups all-purpose flour
* 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
* 1 cup packed brown sugar
* 1/2 cup white sugar
* 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
* 1 egg
* 1 egg yolk
* 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS

1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets or line with parchment paper.
2. Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
3. In a medium bowl, cream together the melted butter, brown sugar and white sugar until well blended. Beat in the vanilla, egg, and egg yolk until light and creamy. Mix in the sifted ingredients until just blended. Stir in the chocolate chips by hand using a wooden spoon. Drop cookie dough 1/4 cup at a time onto the prepared cookie sheets. Cookies should be about 3 inches apart.
4. Bake for 15 to 17 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges are lightly toasted. Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Rendang Tok

I made Rendang Tok yesterday! They were good, but too pedaih for me. I put in segenggam cabai melaka hehe. Especially hot when eaten with rice, but wonderful when eaten with bread. Also, the kerisik I made with the dried coconuts sold here were hideous! I put a small bunch and they looked like worms haha. So I grind the rest before I add in, only this time they turned into small dots. Maa, the taste forgave the appearance I guess.

Bahan
1 kg daging [potong sebesar 3 inci]
2 cawan santan pekat [1 biji kelapa]
1/2 cawan kerisik
1/2 biji kelapa [dipotong nipis] >> kakliza x masukkan sebab anak2 tak suka..
3 s/b gula merah
3 keping asam keping
Daun kunyit [koyakkan]
garam

Bahan mesin
2 s/b ketumbar
1 s/b jintan manis
1 s/b jintan putih
1 s/b lada hitam
3 kuntum bunga lawang
5 kuntum bunga cengkih
25 biji cili kering
20 biji bawang merah
5 cm halia
5 batang serai
3 cm lengkuas

Cara:
Kacau rata.
4. Masakkan lagi sehinggan naik minyak dan cukup pekat. [sebaiknya keringkan sikit rendang ni]
5. Hidangkan.
